Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Infusion Center to administer therapies and support patients through their cancer journey. You will collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, and staff to deliver individualized, safe care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive infusion therapies in an outpatient setting.
• Assess, monitor, and educate oncology patients throughout treatment, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
• Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions, providing timely interventions.
• Deliver compassionate patient and family education regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and survivorship resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation utilizing electronic medical record systems and clinical applications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety, outcomes, and experience.
• Advocate for patients while fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence.
