Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Infusion Center in Hartford, CT. Administer chemotherapy, monitor patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
  • Current Connecticut RN license.
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive infusion therapies in an outpatient setting.
  • Assess, monitor, and educate oncology patients throughout treatment, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, APPs, pharmacists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients for treatment‑related side effects and adverse reactions, providing timely interventions.
  • Deliver compassionate patient and family education regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and survivorship resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation utilizing electronic medical record systems and clinical applications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety, outcomes, and experience.
  • Advocate for patients while fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive infusion therapies in an outpatient setting.
  • Assess, monitor, and educate oncology patients throughout treatment, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

Qualifications
Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
  • Current Connecticut RN license.
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
Preferred
  • Oncology nursing experience in infusion, ambulatory, medical oncology, hematology, or acute care settings.
  • OCN® certification or willingness to pursue certification.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience preferred.
  • Experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.
