Job summary

aoncology in Lansdowne, VA seeks an Oncology Nurse to provide safe, accurate patient care across Loudoun and Reston clinics. You will assess patients, review labs, verify doses and administer therapies per JBIs and guidelines.

Responsibilities include patient education, EMR documentation, triage by phone, inventory support, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. RN license and BLS/CPR required; travel to multiple sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or multi-state license
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Must be able to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
• Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents as ordered
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and treatment course
• Triage calls and messages from patients and families; respond in a timely manner
• Document treatment in EMR thoroughly and accurately
• Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies; participate in mandatory trainings
