Job summary
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's Winchester Center for Cancer Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for Oncology Infusion. This full-time day shift role covers unit dose distribution, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and coordination with pharmacists and nurses to ensure timely medication delivery.
Responsibilities include restocking ADSs, IV preparation per USP standards, mentoring students, and contributing to workflow improvements.
Qualifications
- Must have High School diploma or GED.
- Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB/EXCPT certification required.
- Good standing with MA Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Restocks ADSs and floor stock medications following Epic workflows.
- Delivers medications in compliance with DEA/DPH/State Board regulations.
- Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP 797/800 standards.
- Compounds non-sterile products and repackages medications per USP 795/800.
- Checks for expired meds and disposes of them per regulations.
- Mentors students and technicians.
- Prepares sterile/non-sterile products including TPNs and chemo per USP standards.
- Suggests workflow improvements with Lead technicians.
- Maintains staffing across multiple pharmacy areas.
