Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England’s Pharmacy team is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support safe and accurate medication distribution for Oncology and Infusion patients. Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of sterile IV compounding and chemotherapy preparation experience required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure or Pharmacy Intern license required.
• National certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required within 1 year if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, package, and distribute medications for inpatient care areas
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis), including medication loading, inventory management, and troubleshooting
• Process and prioritize medication orders, including urgent STAT requests
• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and chemotherapy medications using aseptic technique
• Deliver medications and supplies to nursing units and patient care areas
• Maintain medication inventory, stock pharmacy work areas, and assist with drug order receiving and storage
• Conduct medication storage inspections and support regulatory compliance initiatives
• Maintain accurate records related to medication use, inventory, and charges
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support exceptional patient care
• Follow all hospital, pharmacy, and regulatory policies to ensure medication safety and operational excellence
