Job summary

IU Health is seeking an Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support sterile medication preparation for oncology patients at the Schwarz Cancer Center in Carmel, IN. This role works under a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe, timely delivery within IU Health’s academic medical center environment.

The position requires sharp attention to detail, compliance with USP 797/800 in a cleanroom, and ability to function in a fast-paced infusion setting. Full-time, on-site role with patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician license required.
• National certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• Experience with sterile compounding and hazardous drugs preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound sterile medications, including chemotherapy, in compliance with USP 797/800 and IU Health policies.
• Ensure timely delivery of prepared medications to infusion clinics and treatment areas while coordinating with pharmacists and nurses.
• Support quality improvement, safety reporting, and compliance audits as needed.
