Job summary

Actalent in Orlando, FL is seeking an Oncology Infusion Research Nurse to manage the specialized care of cancer patients enrolled in clinical trials.

This role blends hands-on infusion expertise with the unique responsibilities of clinical research, including: delivering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and investigational agents while applying advanced knowledge of oncology medications and side‑effect management.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license is required.
• Experience with chemotherapy infusion and PIVs.
• Oncology experience; OCN certification preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage specialized care of cancer patients in clinical trials.
• Deliver chemotherapy, biotherapy, and investigational agents with oncology knowledge.
• Monitor patient toxicity and adverse reactions per protocol.
• Document source data and complete Case Report Forms (CRFs) accurately.
• Collaborate with Principal Investigators, coordinators, and pharmacy teams for study compliance.
• Educate patients and families about study expectations and treatment processes.

6:45 am-5:30 pm

Onsite 4 days 10-hour shifts ; schedule made 6 weeks in advance

Oncology Infusion Nurse

As an Oncology Infusion Research Nurse, you will manage the specialized care of cancer patients enrolled in clinical trials. This role blends your hands‑on infusion expertise with the unique responsibilities of clinical research, including:

• Ensuring strict adherence to clinical trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines to safeguard patient welfare.
• Delivering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and investigational agents while applying advanced knowledge of oncology medications and side‑effect management.
• Conducting detailed clinical assessments, monitoring for adverse reactions, and evaluating patient toxicity levels per protocol requirements.
• Documenting source data and completing Case Report Forms (CRFs) with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborating closely with Principal Investigators, research coordinators, and pharmacy teams to ensure smooth and compliant study execution.
• Providing guidance and education to patients and families regarding study expectations, treatment processes, and potential side effects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $99840.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
