Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide expert patient care in the Infusion Center at Moores Cancer Center. You will manage oncology infusion patients, oversee toxicities, and participate in therapies, with supervision by medical oncologists.

This role emphasizes rapid assessment, triage of emergencies, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The position primarily covers weekends with some weekday and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• California RN license, NP license, and Furnishing License Certification required.
• National NP board certification in aligned specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care oversight in the Infusion Center and manage toxicities from IV therapies.
• Collaborate with attending oncologists and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Offer Same-Day Cancer Services and educate patients and families.
• Maintain infection control and accurate medical chart documentation.
