Job summary

Loudounoncology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Oncology/Hematology team in Lansdowne, VA. You will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, labs review, and safe medication administration according to JBIs and OSHA/NIOSH guidelines.

You will educate patients and families about treatments, manage triage calls, document meticulously in the EMR, and support inventory and staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate patient care including assessment, review of labs and vital signs.
• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive care as ordered.
• Document treatment in EMR accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and planned treatment.
• Conduct telephone triage, prioritizing incoming calls and coordinating with care teams.
• Assist with inventory, supplies, and training new staff.
