New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Elmhurst, NY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) to join our oncology/hematology team. This role involves coordinating patient care, conducting assessments, and collaborating on preoperative and postoperative plans.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited NP or PA program with current APRN or PA licensure and at least 1 year of oncology/hematology experience; EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN licensure or Physician Assistant license.
• At least one year of Oncology/Hematology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate oncology/hematology patient care in line with regulations and nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate status.
• Collaborate with the team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative care.
• Deliver patient-centered care to improve outcomes and experiences.
