Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients, following state and federal regulations and nursing standards. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient status.

Collaborating with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative care, you will deliver patient-centered service and help improve

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN licensure or PA license.
• At least one year of Oncology/Hematology experience is helpful.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in line with regulations and nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.

Job Description: APP - Nurse Practitioner | Physician Assistant

Location: Poughkeepsie & Fishkill, NY Monday-Friday 5/8.5 hour shifts

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.

• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

We require:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
