Job summary

City of Hope seeks a versatile Clinical Nurse to join the Float Pool, delivering care across inpatient units including ICU/PACU/ETC/BMT and Hematology. This full-time role features 12-hour day shifts (7:00am start), with differential pay for unit and weekends.

Responsibilities include assessments, post-anesthesia care, critical care monitoring, med administration, and patient education. Float between departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing required.
• Current California RN license.
• Minimum 3 years related experience, oncology preferred.
• BLS CPR through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using clinical judgment.
• Provide immediate post-anesthesia care including airway management and pain control.
• Care for critically ill patients with advanced monitoring and ventilatory support.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies per standards.
• Document assessments and interventions in EMR accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and care teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Float between departments based on daily needs.
• Maintain infection control standards and policy compliance.
