Job summary

City of Hope in Duarte, CA is seeking Clinical Nurses for its Float Pool, specializing in cancer treatment. Night shift start at 7:00 pm, 12-hour shifts, full-time (3 shifts per week). Float across inpatient units including ICU, PACU, ETC, BMT, and Hematology.

Qualifications

• Requires CA RN license and BSN/MSN.
• Minimum three years experience; oncology preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and plans.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and ventilatory support.
• Care for critically ill patients with advanced monitoring.
• Manage oncology-related urgent conditions.
• Administer medications and IV therapies.
• Maintain central venous access devices.
• Collaborate with care team and educate patients.
• Accurately document in EMR.
• Participate in rapid response and code events.
• Float between units as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention standards.
