Job summary

City of Hope is seeking versatile Clinical Nurses to join our Float Pool department, specializing in cancer treatment. As a Float Pool Specialist, you will deliver skilled care across inpatient units including Critical Care, PACU, ETC, BMT, and Hematology.

This full-time role offers 12-hour day shifts, with unit and weekend differentials to recognize experience and commitment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and educate patients and families while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing is required.
Current California RN license.
A minimum of three (3) years related experience; oncology nursing preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment.
Provide post-anesthesia care, including airway management and discharge readiness assessments.
Care for critically ill patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive meds, ventilation, and cardiac monitoring.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
