Job summary

OHC is seeking a Full-Time Oncology Float Nurse to provide professional nursing care across oncology patients with general supervision. The role involves a 40-hour workweek with location variability, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, assessing patients, and administering therapies while maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, infusion pump management, port access, and ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• RN state license and current registration in practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 0-3 years nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient and taking medical history.
• Record nursing assessment data and interventions.
• Review results of health assessments, labs, and relevant data with the provider.
• Provide teaching and educational materials to patients and families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support families.
• Administer therapies under physician direction and supervision.
• Maintain work environment and restock supplies.
