Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking an experienced nurse to provide professional nursing care in accordance with national and company standards for oncology patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and family support.

The role involves administering therapies under physician supervision, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and accurate documentation, and supporting clinical operations in a dynamic cancer-care environment

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assesses health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Collects and records nursing assessment and interventions.
• Reviews and reports health status assessment results, labs, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessment.
• Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and instructional material.
• Provides psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Prepares and administers therapies under physician supervision.
