Job summary

Providence Portland is seeking a Financial Coordinator to support patients and families during challenging times by providing financial counseling and payment information.

You will educate patients on sponsorship programs and act as a liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital, helping to resolve balance issues and explain billing processes. This on-site role is part of the Patient Financial Services team in Oregon.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a Business Office or similar.
• Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on sponsorship programs available.
