Job summary

AstraZeneca in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Sr Manager, Field Deployment (Oncology) to lead strategic deployment, design territory structures, and optimize field force effectiveness across large oncology franchises. You will translate analytics into actionable recommendations, manage alliance partnerships, and mentor teams while ensuring governance and compliance with AZ policies.

The annual base pay ranges from $147,908 to $221,862, with incentives and benefits including retirement programs, PTO,

Qualifications

3+ years of Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare commercial experience in roles of progressive responsibility.
High School diploma minimum education required.
Proven ability to design, plan and execute field force effectiveness strategies.
Strong leadership, communication, analytics, and project management skills.
Ability to hold yourself and others accountable.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple areas or accountability
Strong commitment to customer success and customer experience.
Experience with alliance, co-promotion or multi-brand operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Advanced Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Strategically plan and deliver field deployment, territory alignment, and sales structure recommendations for Oncology franchises or alliances.
Lead key FFE initiatives: process optimization, KPI alignment, territory design, sales process standardization across large cross-functional teams.
Integrate FFE analytics and benchmarking to guide business decision‑making and enable sustained field force productivity.
Translate data and analytics into actionable business recommendations for field structure and resource investment.
Lead the requirements and preparations of FFE dashboards, cycle reports, and analytics for senior leadership and alliance partners.
Identify and measure critical success factors and KPIs for field teams and report risks/opportunities proactively.
Serve as the primary point of contact for brand, commercial, and alliance leadership on FFE strategy and reviews.
Lead regular engagement with internal and external partners to support consistency and capability-building.
