Job summary

The role includes providing continuing education for the Cancer Registry staff to address new cancer data standards and to rectify gaps in knowledge, mentoring non-certified Oncology Data Specialists for certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as an Oncology Data Specialist in a CoC-accredited hospital or central registry setting, with at least one year in QA.
• Bachelor's degree in health information management or related field.
• ODS-C certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data quality control in the cancer registry database and conduct QA audits.
• Provide continuing education for Cancer Registry staff to address new data standards.
