Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Clinical Research Associate with oncology experience for a contract role based in Novi, MI. The role blends patient-facing activities with data management, involving pre-screening, consent, specimen coordination, and follow-up within EPIC and EDC systems.

You will work with physicians, a research nurse, and a second assistant to support study execution, attend regular meetings, and grow through ongoing training in clinical research processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical research experience in oncology.
• Experience with trial workflows: pre-screening, recruitment, consent and follow-up.
• Proficiency in chart review and data entry within clinical research.
• Familiarity with EPIC and EDC systems; ability to learn new platforms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for oncology trials, balancing data management and clinic operations.
• Pre-screen, recruit and consent patients, joining visits to support informed consent.
• Coordinate specimen collection, documentation and tracking per study protocol.
• Enter and manage study data in EDC systems and clinical databases with accuracy.
• Collaborate with a research nurse and assistant; attend regular team huddles.
• Maintain timely, compliant documentation of patient interactions and study activity.
