Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Oncology Clinical Research Navigator to support oncology trials by identifying eligible patients, coordinating enrollment, and acting as a liaison among patients, physicians, and sponsors. This role emphasizes rapid EMR review and timely study slot requests.

The ideal candidate has experience with clinical research, oncology records, and EPIC EMR, and can manage multiple studies in a fast-paced cancer center environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical research experience with understanding of trial processes.
• Ability to apply inclusion/exclusion criteria to patient records.
• Oncology knowledge to review diagnoses and conditions.
• Experience screening patients for trials and chart reviews.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
• Strong communication with physicians, patients, sponsors, and staff.
• Ability to handle multiple studies and respond quickly.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to assess eligibility based on criteria.
• Review oncology medical records to determine trial qualification.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to confirm suitability and readiness.
• Communicate with sponsors to secure sponsor slots for eligible patients.
• Read and interpret study protocols for inclusion/exclusion and map to EMR.
• Request and secure patient slots from sponsors promptly.
• Serve as liaison among patients, physicians, and sponsors via EPIC, calls, emails.
• Manage multiple study-related requests and maintain accuracy.
• Coordinate follow-up actions to keep study activities on schedule.
• Prepare for upcoming visits with necessary protocol information.
• Track information across 16-25 active studies and monitor criteria.
• Document interactions in EMR, review charts, and update data.
• Use Excel and Teams to track data and coordinate communication.
