Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Nights - Oncology to lead unit operations, coordinate care, and support nursing staff with a focus on exceptional patient outcomes.

The CNC collaborates with the management team to sustain a high-quality, patient-centered environment while advancing nursing practice and clinical excellence. Eligible for a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• eNLC license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider, ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Preferred: National Certification in area of specialty.
• Required Experience: One year nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff and evaluating performance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and supplies management.
