Job summary

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, part of Covenant Health, is a trusted regional hospital in East Tennessee seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Day Shift team.

As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, support ADLs, document observations, and help maintain a safe, clean, and compassionate environment for patients on the Oncology unit. This is a full-time position with 72 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Hospital experience preferred; medical terminology a plus.
• Must have Tennessee CNA certification; CPR required or recertified during orientation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Take and record temperature, pulse, and respiration; record BP, weight, intake/output.
• Encourage patients to turn, cough, and take deep breaths per Plan of Care.
• Ambulate and assist patients in and out of bed and in wheelchairs.
• Provide morning/evening care including hygiene and comfort.
• Document/maintain patient records and report changes to RN.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
