Job summary

Texas Oncology in Denton is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. The role supports patient care, assists with exams, and ensures efficient clinic operations.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The ideal candidate has a CMA credential or equivalent, RNS/CNA-like experience, and BCLS/CPR certification with potential for level 2 or Sr advancement based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate from an accredited CMA program preferred.
• Minimum three years as medical/nursing assistant.
• Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred; CPR certification required for Sr level.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record vitals, height, weight, allergies, and med changes before visits.
• Obtain patient records as required by physicians.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and supply rooms.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintain infection control and room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls and refer to physician or nurse as needed.
• Document referrals, prescriptions, and reschedules; perform admin duties as required.
