Texas Oncology in Austin Midtown (with Bastrop Friday coverage) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Breast Surgery team. This full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. role supports patient care in a fast-paced oncology clinic, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

The CMA will assist physicians, manage patient data, prepare exam rooms, and perform routine injections under supervision while upholding compliance and patient safety in a compassionate, team-oriented setting.

Competenze

• Entry-level position requiring 0–3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Mansioni

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Records patient data including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintains infection control and room disinfection protocols.
• Answers calls and coordinates referrals; calls in prescriptions as directed.
• Enter orders under a provider’s direction when appropriate.
