Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support Rockwall and Mesquite locations on a PRN basis. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, with level 1–Sr based on experience.

You will assist physicians, manage patient flow, record vitals, and handle clerical tasks in an oncology clinic. The role requires patient-care skills, data entry, and adherence to clinic protocols; CPR/BCLS required within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CMA preferred.
• 0-3 years experience for entry level; BCLS within 3 months.
• CPR certification preferred at Sr level; phlebotomy experience may be required at higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prep rooms; maintain clean, stocked treatment areas.
• Record patient data including vitals, allergies and meds prior to visits.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as delegated.
• Answer phones and perform basic clerical tasks; manage and schedule patient communications.
• May enter orders under provider direction and supervise; adhere to compliance standards.
