Texas Oncology invites applications for a Certified Medical Assistant at the Dallas Presbyterian site. This PRN (as needed) role supports clinicians, helps maintain patient flow, and performs clinic tasks to assist with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a CMA or certification with high school completion, has current BCLS, and is comfortable with a flexible schedule for a part-time PRN position at an oncology specialty provider.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 0–3 years experience for Level 1.
• Current BCLS certification within 3 months.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications.
• Level 2 requires 3+ years; Sr requires 5+ years performance.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record vital signs, allergies, and medications prior to visits.
• Obtain necessary patient records for procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and equipment.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection and cleanliness.
• Answer calls and route referrals to physicians or nurses.
