The ideal candidate will have CMA credentials, CPR/BCLS certification, and a willingness to work 0-3 years of experience for Level 1, with opportunities for advancement to Level 2 or Sr based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
• Entry level position requiring 0-3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Current BCLS (CPR) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Records patient data including vitals and medications prior to physician visits.
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms and assists with exams and procedures.
• Administers injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintains room disinfection protocols and handles routine clerical tasks.
• Answers patient calls and assists with referrals to physicians or nurses.
