Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA certification from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA).
• Association accredited Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heartsaver CPR AED with renewal.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs and medical history in EMR systems.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by providers according to protocols.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and specimen collection.
• Schedule appointments, referrals, and coordinate with other facilities.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Handle inquiries and communicate with patients and families.
