Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Nurse to coordinate and implement assigned clinical trials within the research program. The role reports to the Research Nurse Manager and requires Maryland RN licensure and experience in clinical trials.

Responsibilities include protocol review, subject recruitment, informed consent, data collection, adverse event reporting, and collaboration with the PI and sponsor. The position is based on the School of Medicine Campus in Baltimore.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Maryland.
• Experience in clinical trials or research coordination preferred.
• Ability to coordinate multiple protocols and ensure subject safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement assigned clinical trials within the research program.
• Anticipate research requirements for designated patient populations and review new protocols for clarity and feasibility.
• Assist in pre-study activities: review consent forms, prepare initiation documents, ensure IRB clearance.
• Screen and recruit subjects, verify eligibility, obtain informed consent, and enroll participants per sponsor guidelines.
• Collect data, manage study documents, schedule procedures, and ensure timely data entry and storage.
• Monitor adverse events, report to PI, sponsor, and IRB as required.
• Communicate with the research team and attend meetings to review progress and data collection.
• Provide patient and staff education related to protocols and procedures.
• Organize time and priorities for research-related tasks and coordinate care across disciplines.
