Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II for the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role supports study coordination, participant screening, data collection, and regulatory compliance within the oncology program.

Responsibilities include coordinating lab and fieldwork, assisting in budgeting and submissions (IRB/FDA), and guiding junior staff while ensuring adherence to GCP and protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
• Clinical research experience preferred.
• Oncology clinical trials experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of clinical research regulatory/compliance affairs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as coordinator for studies and support team within protocol.
• Screen and determine participant eligibility with senior team members.
• Conduct activities per protocol, regulations and GCP.
• Assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, including data collection and follow-up.
• Manage documentation, budgets, approvals, and study materials.
