The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center, seeks a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator II to lead and coordinate clinical research activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, Alabama RN licensure, and three years of related experience. Knowledge of oncology, clinical trial management, and data handling is preferred. This is an on-site, day-shift position across the Birmingham campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of related experience required.
• Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• Knowledge of oncology, clinical research, protocol and clinical trial management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• To serve as primary coordinator for clinical research studies and support more senior team members.
• Lead protocol screening and participant eligibility determination.
• Oversee study documents and ensure compliance with IRB and GCP.
• Coordinate the life cycle of the study from start-up through maintenance to closure.
• Manage participant care including recruitment, screening, scheduling, consenting, visits, and data collection.
• Perform informed consent following GCP.
• Liaise between clinical and research staff, departments, and sponsors to ensure protocol compliance.
