Job summary

UAB Medicine, within the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II. This role supports study coordination, participant screening, data collection, scheduling visits, and regulatory compliance in oncology trials.

You will work under investigators to manage protocol activities, assist with IRB/IND submissions, maintain study documentation, and ensure adherence to GCP. Prior clinical research experience is preferred; bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
• Screen and determine participant eligibility, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
• Conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, including data collection, participant follow-up, scheduling visits, and coordinating lab and fieldwork.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies and documentation.
