Job summary

UNC Health’s University of North Carolina Medical Center in the Durham/Chapel Hill area seeks a pharmacist to join our clinical oncology team. You will provide comprehensive pharmacist care, disease management for adult oncology patients, and ensure continuity of care between acute and ambulatory settings.

You will educate students and residents, participate in quality improvement, and support specialty pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Active NC pharmacist licensure or eligibility before start (within 6 months).
• Preferred PGY1 Pharmacy Residency; PGY2 Oncology residency.
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy or Pharmacotherapy, or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Medication therapy management for oncology patients.
• Bridge acute and ambulatory pharmacy services to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Function as a Limited Oncology Prescribing Practitioner (LOPP) in Epic for oncology patients.
• Coordinate medication management across care settings and specialties.
• Educate students and residents on experiential rotations.
• Respond to drug information requests from medical staff, nursing staff, or colleagues.
