UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Pharmacist to join the Cancer Hospital Pharmacy team. This full-time, evening-shift role supports high-volume oncology infusion, inpatient chemotherapy, gene therapy, and other complex therapies.

It involves prescription interpretation, drug therapy optimization, and supervising technicians and students within an Epic-enabled workflow. The position is part of UNC Lineberger’s comprehensive cancer center and offers opportunities to collaborate with the UNC

Competenze

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.

Mansioni

• Receives prescriptions, interprets prescriptions, and reviews the patient’s medication profile/history. Clarifies incomplete or contraindicated prescriptions.
• Utilizes patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations and interventions.
• Compounds and oversees preparation and dispensing of medications including sterile products.
• Adheres to formulary and programs designed to optimize therapy while minimizing cost.
• Completes documentation in medical records and other required logs.
• Counsels patients and families regarding pharmaceutical care issues.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and students during shifts.
• Follows all policies and regulations and participates in process improvements.
• Precepts students and residents and trains new staff.
