Job summary

UNC Health Care's UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill/Durham seeks a clinical pharmacist to join our oncology team, focusing on comprehensive pharmacist care and disease management for adult cancer patients. The role bridges inpatient and ambulatory settings to ensure continuity of care.

You will collaborate with hematology/oncology teams, serve as a limited oncology prescribing practitioner within Epic, and provide experiential instruction to pharmacy students and residents.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree and NC licensure required.
• Active NC pharmacist licensure or eligible with licensure within 6 months.
• Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred; PGY2 Oncology preferred.
• Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy or Pharmacotherapy preferred.
• Strong oncology pharmacotherapy knowledge and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmacist care services to oncology patients and optimize pharmacotherapy.
• Manage chemotherapy therapies and toxicities with a focus on safety and efficacy.
• Coordinate medication management across inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure continuity of care.
• Serve as a limited oncology prescribing practitioner (LOPP) within Epic for oncology patients.
• Educate students and residents on experiential rotations and oncology pharmacotherapy.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within Hematology/Oncology and Ambulatory Pharmacy.
