Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Consulting Registered Nurse with a specialty in Oncology and Chemotherapy to join our Cancer Center. The role emphasizes delivering expert guidance, direct patient care, and collaborative care planning in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates will have an RN license in good standing, a BSN, 5+ years in oncology/chemotherapy, and strong communication skills to educate patients and families effectively. Location is in California; compensation reflects market rates.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• 5+ years nursing experience with Oncology and Chemotherapy.
• BSN degree or related field.
• OCN certification is desirable.
• Experience in patient education and advocacy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to explain medical information clearly.
• Proficient in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation to patients and families on cancer care and chemotherapy.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, side effects, and symptom management.
• Conduct regular patient assessments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Engage in oncology/chemotherapy research and stay updated on advances.
• Advocate for patients and provide emotional support.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
