Job summary

Advocate Health's Libertyville facility seeks a Registered Nurse – Outpatient RN Care Coordinator in the Oncology Clinic. This PRN, part-time position supports cancer care coordination and patient education. The role requires BSN, Illinois RN license, CPR, and oncology experience is a plus.

Training will be provided; OCN preferred. Schedule is Monday-Friday, days as needed with no weekends or holidays. Pay range $38.20-$57.30/hour; benefits eligibility and growth opportunities within the

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• B.S.N. required.
• 2 yrs nursing exp ~ Oncology care exp preferred.
• Board Certification by 12/31/2015 or within two years of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills required.
• Knowledge of computer operations and applications required.
• Current RN license in the state of Illinois.
• CPR certification.
• OCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of women and men with cancer related health concerns.
• Interview and assess new patients for physicians.
• Assists physicians per department standards with clinic visits and procedures if needed.
• Assists patients and staff in the appointment process to expedite timely appointments.
• Provides patients with appropriate education related to prevention, diagnosis, tests, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, etc.
