Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora is seeking an experienced RN to act as a patient advocate and liaison within the Oncology Access team, assisting patients with navigating the continuum of care.

The position is onsite, part-time (Days), with pay $38.91–$60.31 per hour depending on experience. Requires RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and at least 2 years of nursing experience; women's health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; State RN licensure required.
• 2 years of nursing experience; preferred: women's health or fertility experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required; CPR by card in-hand before start date; good through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Rounds on/reviews assigned patients; communicate plan of care to patient and family; address concerns and issues.
• Provide emotional support, counseling, clinical education, and guidance to patients and families.
• Coordinate between patient, clinical staff, administration, physicians, managed care, and external resources.
• Assist patients with resolving financial, psychosocial, functional, and administrative issues; advocate for patient and family.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
