Job summary

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a patient advocate, liaison, and educator across the continuum of care. You will work daytime, full-time, onsite with a focus on coordinating plans of care and communicating with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program or state board of nursing approved program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Rounds on and reviews of assigned patients; evaluates progress with care plans.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family; addresses concerns.
• Provide emotional support, counseling, clinical education, and guidance to patients and families.
• Coordinate resources and resolve barriers to the care plan with clinical staff and external resources.
• Assist patients and families with financial, psychosocial, functional, and administrative issues; advocate as needed.
