Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator, a registered nurse with oncology knowledge who provides individualized support to patients and caregivers to overcome barriers and promote informed decisions.

The role serves as a liaison among multidisciplinary providers and aims to improve access to care, reduce friction at transitions, and support scheduling and patient-centered outcomes. BSN with 3 years oncology experience required; MSN/DNP preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program; MSN/DNP may substitute for BSN.
• Current SC Board of Nursing licensure or a compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Improve timely access to specialty oncology care.
• Reduce friction at high-risk transition points.
• Optimize capacity, scheduling accuracy, and throughput.
• Advance standardization, equity, and patient-centered access.
• Improve patient and provider satisfaction around oncology access.
