Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree required.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients through interview, health history, and physical examination.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and routine follow-up in line with practice protocols.
• Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
• Provide on-call coverage and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and timely charting.
