Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (RN/PA) to deliver high-quality cancer care across our community settings. The APP will assess, diagnose, and manage cancer-related conditions, contribute to clinical trials, and work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, independent decision-making, and patient education, with responsibilities spanning clinical assessment, plan of care, and collaboration with physicians

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of oncology and primary care.
• Master's degree in nursing or certification as a Physician Assistant and Tennessee license.
• National APP certification (ANCC, AANP) or equivalent.
• Oncology nursing experience preferred; onboarding as staff nurse for transition may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status.
• Document comprehensive health histories.
• Perform and document systemic, symptom-specific exams.
• Identify patients eligible for clinical trials.
• Relate care plans to patients, families, and health team.
• Prescribe medications as per protocols and order labs.
• Provide symptom management and palliative care.
• Coordinate with physicians and other providers.
