Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (RN/PA) to deliver comprehensive oncology care within a community-based network. The APP assesses patients, manages cancer treatment plans, and coordinates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based practice.

The role includes involvement in clinical trials and patient education. Applicants must have TN RN or PA licensure, an MSN or PA certification, and national APP certification or CNS.

Qualifications

• Requires RN or PA license in Tennessee.
• Master’s degree in nursing or PA certification required.
• National APP certification (ANCC/APNP/AOCN) or CNS with prescribing criteria.
• Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Performs comprehensive exams and documents health history.
• Orders/ interprets lab tests and imaging as guided by practice.
• Initiates and manages cancer treatment plans and supportive care.
• Provides education to patients and families about treatment options and side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Participates in clinical trials and patient referrals.
• Maintains certifications and adheres to practice protocols.
