Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing.
Certificate from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current and unrestricted license to practice.
Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Performs physical examinations and treats cancer-treatment complications.
Counsels patients and families; monitors patient progress.
Collaborates with health care team and refers as appropriate; manages ongoing clinical care.
Writes orders to adjust medications under physician countersignature.
Documents visit history, labs, and consults in the EMR; tracks patient progress.
