Job summary

Starling Oncology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our oncology team in California. You will provide advanced practice care, manage chemotherapy, consult with patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver value-based cancer care.

The role requires a Master's in Nursing, current NP/PA certification, and a valid license. Oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing.
Current NP/PA certification.
Current, unrestricted license to practice.
Oncology experience preferred, not required.
National Certification required upon employment (Nurse Practitioners).

Responsibilities

Document patient information, visit history, lab results, and consults in the EMR.
Conduct in-depth interviews with patients and families, develop medical histories, and perform exams.
Perform or order diagnostic studies and interpret results.
Develop short- and long-range treatment plans.
Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsy.
Counsel patients and families on preventive care and treatments.
Write medication orders subject to physician countersignature.
Maintain and update charts and progress notes.
Obtain hospital privileges to assist with call.
