Banner Health, based in Phoenix, is seeking a Registered Nurse in Medical Oncology at an outpatient clinic. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, manage symptoms, coordinate follow-up care, and support patients and families through cancer treatment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with oncologists and a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting. This position requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and experience in acute care.

Formación

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.
• In Home Health settings, team members must be able to operate a personal vehicle and possess a valid driver's license; auto insurance coverage is also required.
• Employees in Banner facilities may need to possess a fingerprint clearance card as applicable to role and location.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual and discharge planning needs and coordinate care.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care with goals aligned to patient and family.
• Deliver direct patient care, coordinate activities and supervise licensed staff.
• Evaluate patient response to care and adjust the plan as needed.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team and external contacts to ensure comprehensive outcomes.
• Communicate patient status effectively to care team and family as appropriate.
• Contribute to patient and family education and discharge planning.
