Job summary

Kansas Health System Westwood Administration - East is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Hematology and/or Oncology. The APP will assess health status, diagnose conditions, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate care with collaborating physicians.

Required education includes an APRN or PA degree with relevant licensure; BLS certification is expected. Experience in oncology/hematology preferred. Excellent collaboration and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master Degree Nursing from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs.
• Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program in Advanced Practice Nursing for APRNs.
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical problems in hematology/oncology and consult other specialties as needed.
• Educate patients/families about preventive care and treatment plans.
• Create diagnostically appropriate treatment plans and monitor responses.
• Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and referrals per regulatory standards.
• Refer complex cases to collaborating physician as needed.
• Prescribe and monitor medications and emergency interventions as appropriate.
