Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center to join the Oncology Acute Care & Infusion Center team. The APP will provide oncology-focused acute care services for established cancer patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting while collaborating with physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, infusion teams, and inpatient care partners.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Provider role in oncology acute care requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with care teams.
• Licensure as PA or Nurse Practitioner with appropriate prescriptive authority in Texas.
• Experience in oncology or hospital/acute care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage urgent oncology concerns in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, nurses, infusion teams, and care partners.
• Interpret labs and imaging, facilitate admissions and transitions of care.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support infusion operations and contribute to research protocols when applicable.
