Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center's Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Simmons Acute Care and Infusion Center team. The APP will offer oncology-focused acute care for established cancer patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting, collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and infusion teams.

Qualifications

• Graduated from ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or Master's in nursing with APRN education program.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations as appropriate.
• Synthesizes data to develop and evaluate the patient plan of care including diagnostic studies.
• Provides management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality initiatives and clinical research protocols to improve practice.
